Japanese Tex-style has been established since 1999. We specialize in importing vintage and antique Japanese textiles and clothing. Our stock includes JAPANESE VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE KIMONO, OBI, HAORI, JAPANESE FOLK TEXTILES such as INDIGO, SHIBORI and SASHIKO together with a selection of Japanese crafts, including Dolls, Pottery, Scrolls and Carvings.

We appeal to Clients who wish to buy to wear, collect or use in interior design.

We have agents in Japan, working exclusively with us, specially selecting our stock items. I visit Japan periodically in order to keep updated on sourcing, exhibitions and availability of antique textiles.

Items are presented for sale in the best possible condition, but due to the age of some of them, there may be small marks or imperfections, which would be drawn to your attention.

News Update: JAPAN DAY LIVERPOOL 1st JUNE 2013

Our next event is Japan Day Liverpool 2013 organised by The Japan Society North West. Always very popular, we really enjoy this event with massive enthusiasm for all things Japanese. This year it will be held on June 1st at Liverpool Hope University, Shaw Street, L6 1HP and with Free Admission is not to be missed. A celebration of Japanese culture featuring traditional music (taiko drumming, koto and shamisen) delicious Japanese food, martial arts, craft workshops, kimono and yukata dressing, ikebana and bonsai displays and cosplay competition. JAPAN 400
FOUR HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF JAPAN BRITISH RELATIONS

This year 2013 we will commemorate the start of diplomatic, trading and cultural relations between Japan and Britain. It was the summer of 1613 when envoys from James I of England ( James VI of Scotand) presented gifts to Tokugawa Ieyasu in Japan. To celebrate the anniversary there will be many events and exhibitions throughout 2013 held all over the UK. CHINESE NEW YEAR
This year is The Year of the Snake (Water) sometimes called the Junior Dragon Year.

EXHIBITIONS

An exhibition of Japanese costume will be held at NORMANBY HALL, North Lincolnshire, starting on Good Friday 29th March 2013 running until Friday 27th September 2013. POSTAGE AND PACKING IS FREE WITHIN THE UK with the exception of extremely heavy items, if this applies it will be pointed out in the description. Orders over £50.00 we use ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY, under £50.00 1st CLASS RECORDED.

PAYMENT FOR UK CUSTOMERS is by CHEQUE, BANK TRANSFER or through PAYPAL. PLEASE NOTE Paypal now give the option of paying by CREDIT CARD (No Paypal Account necessary) or through your Paypal account. Both methods are a very secure way of paying for goods on the internet.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

Please check availability of an item and also shipping costs to your country, before ordering using our WISHLIST or MESSAGE facility. For overseas shipping we use the following services depending on size, weight and destination, Royal Mail Airsure, International Signed For and Parcelforce Worldwide. We have no control over customs payments or delays due to customs clearance. This should not apply to country members of the EU.

RETURNS POLICY

We take great care to photograph and give descriptions with the upmost accuracy, however we have no control on how colours appear on different monitors. As the textiles and garments etc. are vintage (secondhand) and antique, we have a non-returnable policy but are very happy to provide further information or photographs before purchase.

We are always happy to talk to customers and strive to maintain a very high standard of customer service. Feedback is very much appreciated.
