Description:
This is a lovely furisode from the romantic age of the Taisho Era. The fabric is rinzu silk with woven plaid effect, purple colour is slightly more pinkish than the photographs show, and there is a gold thread woven into the plaid design. The design of romantic flowers, at the hem is handpainted yuzen, typical of the period. The lower inner lining is pale mauve crepe silk and the upper is red silk again fashionable at this time. Although there are some flaws, it is still a wonderful example of kimono from the Taisho Era.
