Description:
This is a lovely rinzu (damask) silk kimono, damask pattern is weeping sakura (cherry), the woven silk pattern is shibori style dots and the Japanese Cart, famous in the Tale of Genji story is yuzen dyed, in a lovely colour combination. The inner lower lining is cream silk, with bokashi vermillion edge, which can be seen when the kimono is worn, giving a dramatic effect. Upper inner lining is smooth cream silk. A wonderful kimono of high quality, to wear, collect or display!
