Condition:

Antique excellent, a couple of very faint marks from the red lining, these can just be seen on the photographs but are hardly noticeable.

Description:

This is a lovely royal blue kimono in rinzu (damask) silk with self pattern persimmon. There is a mon, centre back at the neck. The pattern at the hem is in glorious colour fans and Japanese cart full of traditional flowers, more persimmon decorate the fans, design is handpainted yuzen. The lower lining is royal blue silk crepe and the upper and sleeve lining is red silk fashionable in the Taisho Era. Wonderful to wear, display or collect!
