Description:
This is a lovely tomesode in maroony purple soft kinsha silk. There are 5 large paulownia Mon present. The pattern at the hem is really beautiful, in subtle colours, phoenix, tsuzumi drum and chrysanthemums with fine embroidered highlights. The design is yuzen dyed and is repeated inside the lower lining, it is a mirror image design, popular in the Taisho Era. The upper lining is thin red raw silk, also popular at the time. A really outstanding collectors item but can also be worn or displayed.
