Condition:

Almost excellent, two tiny marks, one on back of right sleeve and one under bottom hem, slight smudging along bottom hem,these are hardly noticeable. There are a few places on the silver resin slightly rubbed but again this looks quite natural.

Description:

This is a lovely uchikake in iridescent ivory silk which gives hints of different colours in the light. Fabric is quite thick with beautiful embroidered cranes in white/grey/pink/black and silver and pink couching highlighting the peony flowers. The iris, sakura,maple and pines are applied with silver resin. The inner lining is smooth cream silk and at the heavily padded hem is an usual red inset. The uchikake is very unusual and would make a wonderful interior design statement and because the condition is so good can be worn, also good item for the collector!
