Jean Pierre Dubord
We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer, for sale, a selection of Jean Pierre Dubord paintings. Biography of the artist- Born in Rouen on September 24th 1949, Jean Pierre Dubord had his first exhibition, in Rouen, in 1970, also in 1972-1973, at the Gallerie Rollin. In 1981, he met Francois Lespinasse, an expert for paintings of The School of Rouen, and had further exhibitions, in Rouen, up to 1998, In 1985, under the direction of Wally Findlay Galleries, Dubord had exhibitions in New-York, Chicago and Palm Beach, these continued until 1996. His first biography was written in 1988, 'Retrospective Jean-Pierre Dubord '10 ans de Peinture'. With many more exhibitions to follow, in Paris, Honfleur, Bayeux, his first exhibition, in Japan, was at the Gallerie Enatsu, cities, Tokyo, Nara, Sapporo and Hiroshima. He is regularly exhibiting, in Japan, last in June 2008, Fukuyama (Hiroshima). Perhaps more well known, for his, seasonal landscapes of Normandie, and paintings of the Seine and city of Paris, the country of Japan had made a deep impression, and so Jean Pierre Dubord began painting the surrounding vistas, on his travels there.
