Condition:

Very Good, there are light marks and slight patinas on the side yellow areas, these can just be seen on the photos. There are light marks on front collar, see photo.

Description:

This is a lovely boy's silk miyamairi with handpainted design of Benkei and Yoshitsune riding down the hill at the 'Battle of Ichi No Tani' during the Gempei wars between the Taira Clan and the Minamoto clans. The design is highlighted with gold couching. There are 5 Mon present, the Katabami (Oxalis) Mon. The upper inner lining is plain white silk. Wonderful to collect or display!
