Very Good for the age, the outer is slightly discoloured and there are a few dye marks, see photos. The inner lower back lining has light stains and a small cut, see photos.
This is a lovely miyamairi from the Meiji Era in habutae silk. There are 3 Mon, Kashiwa ( Evergreen Oak ) Mon. The design of flying cranes and pines is handpainted sumi painting. The threads on the back of the kimono are to ward off evil spirits. The kimono is lightly padded and the inner lining is mauve pink silk. Wonderful to wear or display!
