Excellent for the age, some loose threads on hat (eboshi) of seated samurai, see photos.

Description:

This is a lovely, high quality silk fukusa from the Meiji Era. The embroidery is of the highest quality and very fine detail. The design represents longevity with three persons who, according to Japanese legend lived to very old age, Urashimo Taro, Tohsaku and Miura Yoshiaki. Embroidery is on shusu silk and reverse is rinzu silk with phoenix and peony design. The four silk tassels are present. Wonderful collector's item !
