Very Good for the age, there are marks right mid back, near seam and a few light watermarks, see photos. The lining has faded and has a few yellowed marks but none of these detract from a truly beautiful piece!
This is a superb rare item, a rare silk irotomesode from the early Meiji Era. The design at the hem is hand yuzen with fine embroidery highlights even on the design inside the hem. There are 5 large Mon present, the Nadeshiko (Carnation) Mon. These appear to be superimposed on an older Mon, see photo. The lining is orange coloured silk which is naturally dyed with saffron. Wonderful collector's item!
