Description:
This is a lovely example of a rinzu silk kimono from the early Meiji Era or even late Edo Era. There are 5 large Mon present, the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Mon, the family crest of the Oguri family. The design at the the hem is of islands scenery with cranes flying above the waves. It is finely handpainted and continues inside the lower hem. The kimono is padded at the hem and the upper lining is smooth red silk. Wonderful collector's item !
