Very Good, excellent except for two repairs about a third up left back of kimono, see photos. If the kimono is to be worn the tuck at the waist would probably cover these flaws.
This is a lovely irotomesode in dark navy blue (almost black). The fabric is antique chirimen silk showing that this is a quality piece. There are five large Paulownia Mon present. The design at the hem uses katazome and yuzen techniques. It is also an unusual design paired cranes with wing stretched on waves with persimmon. The colours are wonderful and the design continues inside the lower hem. The hem is lightly padded. The inner upper lining is naturally dyed red silk. Wonderful collector's item but see condition section.
