Very Good, the cream background has discoloured slightly over all due to it's age, there are marks here and there over the kimono, see photos, these do not show prominently, as the kimono has a busy colourful design. The condition is not perfect but this is a rare piece and the condition is reflected in the price.
This is a rare, unusual piece from the Taisho Era. The fabric is chirimen silk and type of kimono is hitoe which means unlined for summer wear. The dramatic, colourful design technique is bingata of butterflies and these are the colours most used in bingata technique, red/yellow/blue. Bingata textiles are usually associated with Southern Japan, Okinawa. Wonderful collector's item! but please see photos for condition.
