Condition:

Excellent for the age, the top half of the kimono is slightly discoloured and there are watermarks around the front Mon, on the chest, see photos.

Description:

This is a superb piece for the collector, a tomesode for summer wear, in black silk crepe. The vibrant design is hand painted and has fine hand embroidered highlights and is of a group of Crowned (Halo) Cranes. There is no lining, as this kimono is for summer wear and there are 5 Mon present, the Yukiwa (Snow Crystal) Mon. The collar is lined with cream Ro Silk. Wonderful, unique piece !
