Description:

This is a lovely, quality item, a furisode in rust coloured silk crepe. There are three decorative techniques, urushi, swirls of water woven into the fabric, shibori fans in colours typical of the Taisho Era and really wonderful hand embroidery on all tassels, cords and fan bases. All techniques are of real quality but the hand embroidery is incredible. There is one hand stitiched Mon centre back at the neck, the Tachibana (Orange Tree) Mon. The lower inner lining is rust silk crepe and the upper lining is red silk. Wonderful collector's item !
