Excellent for the age, the kimono looks unworn, there is a slight stain mid left chest, see photo and a few white specks on lower right collar, I'm not sure if these are deliberate.
This is a lovely, quality item, an irotomesode from the Meiji Era. It is made from heavyweight chirimen silk in a lovely slate blue. There are 5 Mon present, these are unusual, three clustered Kikyo (Chinese Bellflower) The delicate design at the hem is hand yuzen of snowy pines in clouds. There are tiny gold highlights of embroidery and sagara (french knots) as decoration. The design continues inside the lower hem. The hem is heavitly padded and some basting stitches are still in place. The upper lining is cream silk. Wonderful collector's item !
