This is a superb artwork, a furisode in black silk crepe with hand painted scene of flying cranes and pines in sunset. There are highlights of sagara embroidery on the head of the cranes and the design continues inside the lower hem. The upper lining is heavyweight red silk. There are 5 Mon present, the Takaha (Takanoha) which is a Hawk Feather Mon belonging to the Abe and Tomita families. The hem is lightly padded. Wonderful to display or collector's item !
