Very Good for the age, there is a mark on the inner upper lining, left side, see photo.
This is a lovely haori in textured black silk with handstitched Mon at the neck, centre back. It is the Mokko (Melon) Mon. The inner smooth silk lining has rare handpainted, sumi painting of Fukurokuju one of the Seven Lucky Gods. He is the God of wisdom, luck, longevity, wealth and happiness. The painting has wonderful detail, a real collector's item. It would make a lovely interior design statement and talking point!
