Condition:

Very Good, the Mon are a little discoloured, the inner, white silk lining has light patinas of age and some marks especially on the front and sleeve front white linings, see photos.

Description:

This is a lovely man's haori in black habutae silk. There are 5 Mon present, the Hanabashi (Flowery Diamond) Mon. The inner upper lining is a super rare depiction of Oishi Kuraosuke with some of the 47 ronin before the attack on Kira's castle (very famous Japanese story of the 47 retainers, their leader Oishi Kuranosuke). The design is screen printed, wonderful collector's item!
